Retro-Levant cruise
Exuberance of the East

22 October 2022 - 29 October 2022
8 days/7 nights

Cypriot seafarers, Phoenician traders, Assyrian warriors, Egyptian priests, crusaders and mamelukes - all made the history of the East, their will, passion, aspiration and deeds imprinted in the stones you can touch. Ancient Lebanon: Beirut, Byblos, Tyre, Sidon, Beqaa Valley with Baalbek temples, Kadisha Valley with Cedars of God.  Alexandria – the Centre of Hellenism. The very names feel one’s soul with awe. But the East does not only live on memories. The bazaars are as colorful as they used to be in those old times.

And we sincerely recommend you took part in our exclusive Marine Activities: children and adults alike will admire tying sailor’s knots under the Boatswain’s guidance; why not try yourself at mast climbing; the Captain and the Officers give regular master-classes on celestial navigation, sails setting, and probably the most exciting of all – you can put your hands on the steering-wheel and run the huge ship yourself like Captain Sparrow, basking in the feeling of freedom.

In the evening at 20:00 we will dock at Port Said.

Port Said

Day 3 Port Said

Cosmopolitanism embodiment

Port Said stands on an artificial strip of sand between the Mediterranean and Lake Manzala. The main attraction, and the reason for the town’s establishment, is the Suez Canal. The boardwalk along the waterfront provides up-close views over the canal’s entry point. Port Said had been a key stopover in journeys connecting Europe and its colonies. Such cosmopolitan heritage appears in its various architectural styles.
